Crash test dummy

McLaren's reliability problems are not yet over. From the way Kimi Räikkönen crashed out on the last lap of the race he had dominated, it is clear that they need to improve. With Fernando Alonso breathing down his neck - though he wasn't quite that close - the Finn seems to have pushed his car beyond its limits, as he was prone to do in the past few years.

On the other hand, it also means that Alonso is one race closer to winning the Championship this season. Kimi would have done well to keep the title open by winning those 10 points. It would have taken away a little more attention from the two scarlet cars that finished in the top five.

Beginnings of a monarchy?

Is this sycophancy or what? The Congress has historically had a tradition of servility to anyone from the Nehru dynasty, but after (nearly) 60 years of Independence from the Queen, I think we're as close to a monarchy as we can get!

Why, then, was there such an uproar when Mushie rigged his referendum? Did we rubbish his "election" just because his name wan't "Gandhi" or "Nehru"? Or is it just that Pakistan doesn't compare because they've never had a dynasty?

What is also surprising is that our vigilante media isn't even remotely interested in focussing their attention to this. Are they scared? This Mrs. G already looks more menacing than the earlier one!
